What is MyTools?

MyTools is a collection of free, browser-based tools designed for one purpose: getting simple file tasks done in seconds. Convert, resize, rotate, merge — whatever you need to fix, MyTools handles it instantly, right in your browser, with no software to install and no account to create.

We believe simple tasks should be simple. Too many tools make you jump through hoops — sign up, download, pay, wait. MyTools cuts straight to it. You upload your file, the tool does its job, you download the result. Done. No friction, no wasted time, no hidden catches.

Your files stay yours. Most of our tools process everything directly in your browser, meaning your data never leaves your device. For tools that do require a server, files are automatically deleted after a few hours. MyTools is free to use, requires no registration, and puts your privacy first — because that's how it should be.

About the Founder

My name is Philippe Bernard, and I'm a computer scientist with a long-standing obsession with making things simpler on the web. Nearly sixteen years ago, I built what I still describe as the smallest website ever: rotatepdf.net — a single-purpose tool that did exactly one thing: rotate an upside-down PDF. Nothing more, nothing less.

At the time, it was a genuinely novel idea. No installation required, completely free — that combination wasn't common. Within a few months, the site was getting over a thousand visitors a day, which felt extraordinary to me. It was proof that people just wanted something that worked, without the overhead.

Over the years, I built more tools — PDF to JPG converters, image utilities, and others. MyTools is where that journey has led. It brings together everything I've learned and everything I believe in: tools that respect your time, your privacy, and your intelligence. I hope you find it useful.
