Why use this audio trimmer?

Trim with a visual waveform

See your whole track as a waveform and drag the start and end handles to pick exactly the part you want to keep. No guessing, no scrubbing back and forth.

Millisecond precision

Type the start and end times directly in mm:ss.ms format, or nudge them with the arrow keys. Hit the perfect cut point every time, even on a one-second clip.

Preview before you cut

Click Play to hear the selected region on loop. Adjust the handles, listen again, and only commit when it sounds right.

Smooth fade in and fade out

Toggle a quick fade at the start or end of your clip to remove the click or pop you'd otherwise hear when the audio cuts in or out.

Keeps your original format

Upload an MP3, get an MP3 back. Upload a WAV, get a WAV. Your audio comes out in the same format it went in — no surprise conversions.

Runs entirely in your browser

Your audio is trimmed right on your device. Nothing is uploaded to a server, nothing is stored, nothing is logged.

Sometimes you just need a shorter clip

A ringtone made in two minutes

You finally found the song you want as your phone's ringtone — but you only want the chorus, not the slow intro. You don't want to install Audacity, learn a new app, or hand your music to some random website.

You drop the MP3 into the trimmer, drag the start handle to where the chorus kicks in, and drag the end handle thirty seconds later. You hit Play to make sure the loop sounds clean, toggle on Fade out so the cut feels natural, and click Trim audio.

A few seconds later you're downloading the perfect 30-second clip, ready to set as your ringtone. The whole thing took less time than reading the app store reviews would have.

Cleaning up a podcast recording

You just finished recording an episode with a guest. The first ninety seconds are the two of you fumbling with mic levels, and there's a long pause at the end where you forgot to stop recording. You need to clean both ends before sending the file to your editor.

You upload the WAV file, drag the start handle past the awkward intro, and drag the end handle to right after your sign-off. You preview it once to make sure you didn't clip anyone mid-sentence, then export.

The trimmed file lands in your Downloads folder in the same WAV format your editor expects, with no extra encoding steps to worry about. You forward it on and move to the next episode.

Pulling a sample out of a long lecture

You're studying for an exam and your professor uploaded the full ninety-minute lecture as one big audio file. There's a five-minute section where she explains the formula you keep getting wrong on practice problems, and you'd love to have just that part to play back on your commute.

You open the file in the trimmer and use the time inputs to type the exact start and end times you noted while listening — the waveform handles snap right to those positions. You preview the selection to make sure you caught the full explanation, including the example at the end.

You download the trimmed clip, drop it onto your phone, and now you can replay just that one section as many times as you need. By the morning of the exam, you've heard it enough times to recite it from memory.
