Why use this PDF watermark tool?

Text or image watermark

Type your text, or upload a logo (PNG, JPG, or WebP). Use a transparent PNG for a clean, professional finish on every page.

Sized your way

Set the watermark to a percentage of the page width or height — so the same watermark looks right on A4, A5, Letter, or any page format. Or stick to a fixed pixel size if you prefer.

Pinpoint placement

Pick any of nine positions on the page, from corner to dead-center. Add a margin, fine-tune the rotation, or tile the watermark across the whole page.

Batch up to 10 PDFs

Drop in several PDFs at once and apply the same watermark to all of them. Perfect for a folder of contracts, a portfolio of designs, or a series of reports.

Above or below content

Lay the watermark over the content for a strong "DRAFT" or "CONFIDENTIAL" stamp, or tuck it underneath for a subtle background mark that doesn't fight with text.

Private by design

Watermarking happens entirely inside your browser. Your PDFs are never uploaded to a server, so even sensitive documents stay yours.

Sometimes you need to brand or protect a PDF

A signed contract you don't want forwarded

You've just sent a draft contract to a prospective client. It's not the final version, and you don't want it ending up in someone else's inbox without context. You add a diagonal "DRAFT — Not for distribution" watermark across every page in tiled mode at 30% opacity.

You drop the PDF into the tool, type the text, set tile mode on, and pick a soft grey at 30% opacity. The preview shows the diagonal pattern across the first page exactly the way you wanted it. One click and you've got a watermarked copy ready to send — and the original PDF stays untouched.

The next time the same client asks for a revision, you just reload your PDF, the watermark is gone in the new version, and you send the cleanly branded "Final" version instead.

A photographer protecting their portfolio

You're a wedding photographer and a potential client has asked for a sample album in PDF before booking. You're happy to share — but you don't want your photos lifted. You upload your logo PNG with transparency, set it at 25% width, place it in the bottom-right of every page, and dial the opacity down to 50%.

The preview shows it sitting just where you want it: visible enough to claim the work, discreet enough not to ruin the photos. Apply, download, and send. If the client books, you have the original PDF to share. If they don't, the file they have is recognizably yours.

It takes you under a minute, and you don't have to open Photoshop or InDesign for it.

A finance team marking internal-only reports

Your team puts out a weekly market report that goes to clients, but the version your analysts circulate first has annotations that should never reach a client by mistake. You watermark the internal copies with "INTERNAL — Do not distribute" in red, layered above content, on every page.

You batch ten PDFs at once — Monday through Friday for two weeks — pick the same template, hit Apply. Ten watermarked files come back in seconds. You hand them off knowing that even if one gets accidentally forwarded, the warning is impossible to miss.
